KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Gabe Gonzales of Grand View (Iowa) has been named the NAIA Men’s Wrestler of the Week. The winner was selected based on their performances from November 11-17 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. 

Wrestlers of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and X.

NAIA Men’s Wrestler of the Week

Gabe Gonzales, Grand View (Iowa) - FR – 125

• Went 5-0 in the 125-pound weight class at the Grand View Open.
• Placed ahead of nine ranked NAIA wrestlers and defeated the NCAA Division I No. 25-ranked wrestler from Northern Iowa.
• In the finals, he defeated Adrian Meza of Iowa State 7-6.
