KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rodrigo Riveros of Cumberlands (Ky.) secured NAIA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week , while Ty Turner of Mobile (Ala.) was named the NAIA Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from August 5-25 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffilliated group nominees. 

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and X.

NAIA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Rodrigo Riveros, Cumberlands (Ky.) - SR - Forward

• In two games this last week, Rodrigo scored five goals on seven shots for a .714 shooting percentage.
• As a super sub, he scored 10 points in only 83 minutes of game time.
• Against Baker (Kan.), Rodrigo scored four goals on six shots.  

NAIA Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Ty Turner, Mobile (Ala.) - GR - Goalkeeper

• The 2023 First-Team All-American opened the season with a pair of shutouts. 
• He recorded five saves in a 3-0 Rams victory over SCAD Savannah (Ga.).
• Turner added two more stops in a 3-nil win over Embry-Riddle (Ariz.).
