2024 NAIA Football Players of the Week - No. 6 (October 7)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Jameson Chesser of Taylor (Ind.) has been named the NAIA Football Offensive Player of the Week, Carson Fehlhafer of Concordia (Neb.) has been named the NAIA Football Defensive Player of the Week and Mikele Nash of Langston (Okla.) has been named the NAIA Football Special Teams Player of the Week. The trio was selected based on their performances from September 30 - October 6 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.
Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular-season on Mondays on naia.org, Instagram and X.

NAIA Football Offensive Player of the Week
Jameson Chesser, Taylor (Ind.) - SR - Running Back
- Set Taylor's single-game record with seven rushing touchdowns in a 58-36 win
- Ended seven of his 25 runs in the end zone, finishing with 138 rushing yards on 5.5 yards a carry
- Took over the NAIA lead in rushing touchdowns (14) and moved to second in rushing yards in the NAIA (707)
NAIA Football Defensive Player of the Week
Carson Fehlhafer, Concordia (Neb.) - JR - Defensive Line
- Set the tone up front as Concordia upset No. 2 Northwestern, 29-17, on the road
- Registered seven tackles, three sacks and a pass breakup
- Pressure generated by Fehlhafer also led to the Bulldogs intercepting four passes
NAIA Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Mikele Nash, Langston (Okla.) - JR - Kick Returner
- Sealed the game for the Lions with a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown
- The score occured with 1:03 left in the fourth quarter after Nelson (Texas) had just gone up by a point
- He returned four kicks for a total of 140 yards
