2024 NAIA Football Players of the Week - No. 1 (September 2)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Gerald Monroe of Graceland (Iowa) has been named the NAIA Football Offensive Player of the Week, Jadyn Downs of Montana Tech has been named the NAIA Football Defensive Player of the Week and Hudson Stone of Mayville State (N.D.) has been named the NAIA Football Special Teams Player of the Week. The trio was selected based on their performances from August 26 - September 1 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unafilliated group nominees.
Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular-season on Mondays on naia.org, Instagram and X.

NAIA Football Offensive Player of the Week
Gerald Monroe, Graceland (Iowa) - JR - Wide Receiver
- Broke the NAIA single game receiving yardage mark in Saturday's win over Doane (Neb.)
- He finished with 387 yards on 16 catches and five touchdowns
- The previous mark of 384 yards stood 35 years
NAIA Football Defensive Player of the Week
Jadyn Downs, Montana Tech - SR - Defensive Back
- Tied a school record with three interceptions in an upset over No. 3 ranked Georgetown (Ky.)
- Returned one INT 43 yards for a Touchdown
- Downs also contributed with 5 total tackles
NAIA Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Hudson Stone, Mayville State (N.D.) - FR - Linebacker
- Had two block punts in his first game as a Comet
- One of the block punts turned into a touchdown
- Hudson also recorded two solo tackles on kickoffs
